Spa-tiquette

There are a few questions that come up a lot around here. Don't get us wrong, we truly believe there is no such thing as a silly question, but some people are shy to ask, so we thought we'd answer some of them here and save you the embarrassment. You're welcome.

  1. If you need to cancel your appointment please give us at least 24 hours notice so that another Bloomer can fill the spot.
  2. By an unusual chance that you are running late, your appointment will be shortened as necessary, but still thorough. If we feel there is not enough time left to do an adequate job we will provide you with options. We do need to charge for the original time booked.
  3. First Bikini Wax?  Please trim to 3/4 of an inch and ensure a clean working area so your esthetician can do her best work.
  4. How we define bikini wax ‘styles’:
    1. Regular Bikini -  you can safely sit cross-legged in a bathing suit.
    2. French Bikini – think landing strip up front and very tidy underneath.
    3. Brazilian – every last hair. Gone.
  5. It is preferred that you remove your old polish before your appointment (especially extra sparkly versions) as we can then spend every minute pampering, not scrubbing away old polish.
  6. If you are getting a Pedicure or Polish Change please bring completely open-toed shoes. Not peep toes, not your strappy new Kate Spade sandals…just plain ol’ flip flops.
  7. Not sure what to tip? Anywhere between 10% and 20% is normal but, as always, it is left to your discretion.
  8. As adorable as they are, please leave your sweet little puppy/baby/toddler at home with a sitter.
  9. Out of respect for fellow Bloomers please put mobile devices on silent and use your spa voice.
  10. Never apologize for hairy legs.
